The One I Love – Let me be clear: it is NOT a “romance” movie despite the name! Sure, it has some mildly romantic moments – because it’s a really good plot line centered around a married couple. The plot would not work with say, siblings or roommates. It has you constantly wondering what happen, kind of eery.:Very very minimal violence (no DV). Probably not kid-friendly but a brainy teen might like it, or anyone who likes “realistic” sci-fi. Very similar to “Coherence.” The ending had me like… actually, never mind.

Coherence – Heads up: it starts out wicked slow, and it seems like it’s gonna be a boring ass film (“A group of adult friends making cliche banter? Really?”) Buuut you’ll very soon realize you need to pay attention because… a lot of things happen. It has an eery vibe, almost anxiety inducing: you think a horror scene is about to play out, but it’s not a gory movie; it only features a couple of violent incidents. Very similar to “The One I Love.”
